"How Can Wasting Time Actually Be Productive?"

Are you feeling tired? Tired of working? Tired of making a living? You want to spend and yet you want to save? If yes, we're on a same boat with you!

For the past decade, we've been hustling like there's no tomorrow. Working more than 70 hours per week, setting aside shopping, setting aside travel and for what? Savings doesn't even add up! Mid last year, we decided to slow down with our life. Taking a huge step back was the greatest decision we've ever come up.

A quick pause

Have you ever taken a quick pause and think?

Reflection

While we're laying down, we chat about how life. How to improve ourselves, our life, and our marriage. As both of us working full time and side hustles, we barely have time to chat. This made us think what we can do to improve us.

It took us a while to guess where to start. It was not an easy decision, but learning how to step back is needed. Getting a new job, giving up side hustle, giving up the old pattern.

Now what? Hustling for more than 70 hours a week down to 40 hours a week, what to do in these spare hours? It's not like we have hundreds of thousands to spend recklessly to travel and shop.

Something new

When you hit the age of 30, sometimes you doubt yourself to try something new. You question yourself, "I am still fit to do this?" "I am I too old for this?" "People will think I'm crazy." "I am scared." and so on. But instead, why don't you tell yourself "I am going to" "I will".

Then we found something that doesn't cost us money and yet we both enjoyed. Hiking. We look on each other and probably have thoughts on our own mind "can we, do it?". But instead of doubting, the question we ask was "where?"

Our first hike had definitely pushed us to do it, we thankfully chose an easy one (Gunpowder state park). Cause if not, we probably gave up after our first hike.

Hiking become our "love language". Once a week, we both take time to go on hike and spend some quality time. Most of the time, we hike on trails close to our house, and now we're adding it to our itinerary whenever we travel.

Sometimes, we even have friends to join us on our hike. It is fun activity that cost you nothing. We'd love for you to join us sometimes.

Getaway

Okay, sometimes we treat ourselves with a little quick getaway. We all deserve something. So, this past month, we went to Ohio for some quick getaway.

Couple years back, we did our first glamping in Smokey Mountains, TN. And we do enjoyed how we pretty much did NOTHING. So, this time, we booked our glamping site through Getaway. They're well known for their container cabin. They have cabins good for 2-4 people.

Each cabin has their own fire pit where you can relax and enjoy the breeze of the nature, cook dinner and make some smores! Smores lovers don't hate us, but we don't like smores, so skipped that part. They also offer some simple provisions that could order ahead on same day. Upon entering the cabin, they gave a little welcome note, a getaway activity guide, a card to help you build your campfire, am outpost guidelines, which we forgot to take a picture cause we got too excited. lol. Make sure to read the guidelines as it'll you around the area and also not get penalized.

They even have their own little trail in the property, which is a nice touch.

Most of their location are secluded and yet not too far from everything you needed. This location in Ohio, was only 7 mins away from the small town, where you can buy your grocery, shop and dine. And we did not skip the part that they're only 15 minutes away from a winery.

They brew their own wine and beer. So of course, we had to do their beer and wine flight. And we get to take home our favorite wine from the flight for only $18 per bottle. They also have good selection of food.

Getaway have multiple location across the nation, so take time to relax and escape from the city and enjoy. Get your additional $25 off on your first booking by using our link.

REMEMBER

It's you before anything else. Doing nothing doesn't always mean you are LAZY. We sometimes need to take it slow and enjoy the ride of life. Sometimes by taking it slow, you can think more and make a wise decision. Running too fast might stumble you back where you started.
